Facilities Dept Assists FL Retailer with 24-Hr Compactor Cleanout

The store recently contacted the Facilities Department at Waste Cost Solutions for a compactor cleanout. While the

We received a call from the store early Monday afternoon and the compactor cleanout commenced less than 24-hours later at 9:30am on Tuesday morning, noted Michael Mintz, CEO Waste Cost Solutions.  Upon arrival, the cleanout crew discovered that the compactor still had debris in it. With some fast thinking, we were able to purchase some construction quality trash bags and also hire some additional laborers, who hauled the trash out of the compactor, transferring it to two additional dumpsters that were at the location. The

crew was then ready to roll and the compactor cleanout was completed before 2:00 pm, Mintz added.

Although the compactor cleanout at the Crestview store was not of the utmost urgency for the establishment, they were correct in having it cleaned prior to the holiday influx. In addition, the areas surrounding the compactor were also cleaned, including a grease laden exterior floor, which could have posed a liability for the store as well.
